Where Theatre meets landscape
We studied at the National Theatre in set and costume design. Disciplines that focused on the concepts of space, light and texture, and the movement of people through designed environments.

Jo studied costume and set design at the National Theatre, later moving onto painting - her work with layered textures and spatial composition has been exhibited at galleries throughout the UK. She is an accredited garden designer and a Salvia specialist
with
decades of gardening experience.jo
Justin
Justin’s experience as a Designer Maker, Sculptor and Set construction reinforces Grene & Stones’ three dimensional and practical mode of work. Justin’s extensive knowledge of materials, traditional methods, and construction helps to create sculptural environmentally conscious landscape.

Specialism
A painter’s palette of Salvias.
With over 900 known species, Salvias offer an extraordinary range of colour, form, and texture. Jo’s comprehensive knowledge of the genus – from Salvia nemorosa to the electric blue of Salvia guaranitica and the velvet reds of Salvia microphylla-allows us to compose planting schemes with the nuance and depth of a painted canvas.
